JEFFERSON- Linda M. Manke, age 69, passed away at Meriter Hospital following a lengthy illness on February 2, 2109. She was born in Chicago on October 12, 1949, the daughter of Chester and Virginia (Johnston) Buchanan. Linda worked full time and attended nursing school while raising her three children.

She spent her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the long term healthcare field. She will be remembered for her fond love for her grandchildren and animals. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda (Trevor) Yuhas; her grandchildren, Mariah (Ty) Oestreich, Mikayla Yuhas and Delbert Manke; and a sister, Lisa Buchanan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert Manke; sons, Delbert Manke, Jr., and Jeff Buchanan; and her brother, Thomas Buchanan. Linda’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Meriter Hospital for their extraordinary care of her these few months. No services will be held at this time.
