Obituary for Linda Carol Priest Linda Carol Priest, 74, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018. She was born October 6, 1943 to William “Bill” Henry Hooks and Juretia “Rita” Langley Hooks in Pulaski County. She was raised in the Levy area of North Little Rock and was the oldest of four children.

Linda is survived by her husband and best friend of 55 years, Billy Clyde Priest; three children, Marion Lee (Stacy) Watson, Stacy Lynn (Troy) Alberson, Mitchell Flynn (Heather) Priest; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Nicole (Misty) Billings, Billy Chase (Caitlin) Watson, Christian Nathaniel Alberson, Shelly Renee Alberson, Belle Kaylynne Dean, Abbie Michelle Priest and Charlie Raye Priest; brothers, Owen “Steve” Hooks (Judy), William “Dewayne” Hooks (Tresa); sister, Kay “Brenda” Patterson (Phil); mother-in-law, Florene Priest and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Linda’s life revolved around her children, grandchildren and her loving husband. She was also the owner of Priest & Associates Tax Services for over 30 years and an H & R Block office manager for nine years.

Her hobbies included growing flowers and plants of any kind. She owned and operated a nursery growing hundreds of different plants and cactus for three years before going into the income tax business. Her clients became her friends over the years.

After retiring and selling Priest & Associates to her son-in-law, she enjoyed traveling and time spent with her grandchildren. Linda never met a stranger and her friends were treated as family. She lived her life by the Golden Rule, treating people as she would want to be treated.

She was a member of the Church of Christ and her faith was unwavering. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, never meeting a child she didn’t love. Memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home.
