Mrs. Linda Darnell Fryer, 70, of Geneva, GA, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Cox Cemetery in Geneva with Rev. Terry Hudson officiating.

The family will greet friends at the cemetery prior to the service beginning at 9:30am. Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Fryer, Mike Fryer, John Gay, Clint Watson, Jeff Watson, and Tracy Watson. Mrs. Fryer was born August 25, 1947, in Columbus, GA, to Leo and Betty Ann Theakston Baumgardner.

She was employed with the Medical Center of Central Georgia as a unit secretary. A member of Geneva Baptist Church, Mrs. Fryer always had a smile on her face and enjoyed taking care of others. She loved her animals and was loved by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Baumgardner and a sister, Joann Ruth Fryer. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, James Fryer of Geneva, GA; by a daughter, Jamie Lynn and Ronald Weaver, Jr. of Howard, GA; a sister, Betty Ann and Fred Kuhleman of Florida; three grandchildren, Claudia Lynn Gay, Linda Melody Nicole Gay, and Sarah Tralynn Weaver. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, GA, is in charge of the arrangements.
