of Cranston, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of the late Shahazar “Shay” and Vantanoush “Rose” (Parnagian) Minassian and loving sister of Joyce S. Minassian of North Quincy, MA. Linda was a 1974 graduate of Cranston West High School.

She was co-founder, with Stephanie Masoian, of Delicacies, an Armenian specialty store, in Cranston RI. Linda loved her interactions with their customers and sharing Armenian traditions and history. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and adored her three godchildren, Christina, Adam, and Christopher Parnagian.

Linda was an active member of the Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence RI. At a young age she was active in the ACYOA as chairman for over five years and later as an advisor.

As an advisor, she always found a way to bring young people to the ACYOA; teaching them the importance of building their talents to give back to their church. Linda took a pilgrimage to Armenia where she helped build houses for the victims of the 1988 earthquake. She continued her service to the Church as an active member and Chairwoman of the Parish Council.

Linda made ten annual trips to Aruba, a destination she dubbed her “happy place”. She was also an avid crocheter and loved collecting T-shirts. In addition to her sister, Linda leaves her cousin Lynn Parnagian, the loving widow of cousin Paul, and their three children.

Linda is also survived by her cousin Steven Parnagian, his wife Aida, and their children Nicole and Aram. Linda’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 15th at 10 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, followed by burial at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.

VISITING HOURS are Friday in STS. SAHAG & MESROB CHURCH from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Church, 70 Jefferson St., Providence, RI 02908 or St. Nersess Armenian Seminary, 150 Stratton Road, New Rochelle, NY 10804.
