LINDA GAIL WALKER, age 70 of Clanton, passed away on February 4, 2019 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. She was born in Chilton County on January 26, 1949; the daughter of the late Harvey Cleckler, Sr. and the late Lena Mae Headley Cleckler. She was a former caregiver.

She is survived by: Daughter, Linda Charlene (Wade) Shields of Clanton; Son, Sidney O’Neal Walker of Verbena; 15 Grandchildren; 32 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Douglas “Demo” Cleckler of Verbena; Brother, Kenneth Ray Edwards of Prattville; and Sister, Brenda Lollar of Titus. She is preceded in death by: Husband, Billy David Walker, Sr.; Son, Billy David Walker, Jr.; Son, Ronald Wayne Walker; Grandson, Charles Walker; Grandson, Jacob Lewis Rawlinson; Parents, Harvey and Lena Mae Cleckler; Brother, Virgil H. Cleckler; Brother, Harvey “June Bug” Cleckler, Jr.; and Sister, Margaret Sue Lett. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home of Clanton with Rev. Wendell Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in the Billingsley Church of God Cemetery in Billingsley, AL.
