Linda M.’s Obituary Linda Marie (Hamling) Goebel was born on April 5, 1958, in Friend NE, the daughter of Edwin and Bernie (Preister) Hamling and passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at her home in Olathe, KS, at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 6 days. Linda graduated from Centennial High School in Utica, NE in 1976. She furthered her education at the University of Nebraska School of technical agriculture and later worked as a veterinary technician.

On November 30, 1979, she married Lane Goebel of Fremont, Nebraska and was married for 34 years. They had three daughters, Melissa, Jill and Amy. Linda enjoyed being a successful business owner and has most recently spent the last 7 years following her passions in retirement.

Linda enjoyed gardening, volunteering, and spending time with her four grandchildren. She also had a gift for creating the most beautiful quilts. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Hamling.

Survivors include her children, Melissa (Jesse) Gulotta, Olathe, KS, Jill (fiancé, Brandon Barnes) Goebel, Stockton, MO, Amy (Jimmy) Morrow, Miami, FL; grandchildren, Benjamin, Edwin, Olathe, KS and Oliver, Lilly, Miami, FL; sisters, Lori (Mike) Murray, Columbus, NE, Lisa (Phil) Finney, Anselmo, NE, Lanette (Larry) Stec, Columbus, NE; brothers, Larry Hamling, Friend, NE and Lyle (Lori) Hamling, Garland, NE; mother, Bernie (Preister) Hamling; ex-husband, Lane Goebel, Lenexa, KS. Linda is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who she loved and they loved her dearly. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Linda.
