Linda J. Petersmeyer, 73, of Delphos, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018, at Vancrest Healthcare Center of Delphos surrounded by family and friends. She was born July 16, 1945, in Anna, IL to Raymond and Shirley (Boyd) Cates. They both preceded her in death.

She was united in marriage to John Petersmeyer on October 21, 1967; he preceded her in death on March 3, 2004. She is survived by a son, Jeff Petersmeyer of Louisville, KY; daughter, Jill (John) Radler of Delphos; sister, Melissa McIntosh and fiance, Rocky Smith of Jonesboro,IL; and four grandchildren, Jordyn, John, Josh, and Jarrett; special nieces Amber Wachter, and Ashley McIntosh; great niece and nephew, Addison and Mayson; and many beloved friends, aunts, and cousins. Linda was the Franklin Elementary School secretary for 28 years.

She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Linda loved music and some of her favorite times were spent with friends at Southern Gospel concerts. She also played the piano at her church.

She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, and she was dearly loved by all. Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Rev. Rich Rakay will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, The Allen County Special Olympics, or to Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund.
