Obituary for Linda Kay Carter Linda Kay Carter 68 Of Statenville passed away at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Valdosta, GA to the late William Oliver and Mary E. Wilson Jolley. Linda worked as a Registered Nurse for many years after getting her Bachelor’s degree at Valdosta State College and attending Valdosta Technical College.

When not nursing, Linda loved spending time with her family, painting, sewing, gardening, woodworking and spending time with her Grandbabies. She was a member of Lake Park Church of Christ. Along with her parents, a brother, Oliver Jolley precedes her in death.

Survivors include Husband of 50 years, Charles S. Carter of Statenville, Daughter Christian H. Carter of Statenville, GA, Son and Daughter-in-Law, Charles S. “Charley” and Jerry Carter of Statenville, GA, Sister, Margaret Schottel of Port Charlotte, FL, 11 Grandchildren, several Nieces, Nephews and extended family members, and a Granddog Bruce Wayne that she affectionately called “Batman”. As per her wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 12:00P.M. in the Lake Park Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 11:00A.M. until service time at 12:00P.M. in Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Carter family for final expenses.
