AUSTINTOWN – Linda Lou Kubik, 70, passed away peacefully late Thursday morning, March 14, 2019, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, with all of her family by her side following a very brief illness. Linda was born Oct. 29, 1948, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Michael R. and Laura Belle Platt Stash, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1967 graduate of Chaney High School and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who also worked outside the home at Kmart, Mr. Wiggs, and as a school bus driver for the Austintown Schools. Mrs. Kubik was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown. She enjoyed playing cards with her neighborhood friends and bowling in the Mixed Couples League at Wedgewood Lanes.

She also enjoyed ceramics and she truly loved her family. Linda leaves her husband of 50 years, Edward H. Kubik, whom she married July 20, 1968; two sons, Edward M. (Philomena) Kubik and family of McDonald, and David J. Kubik of Youngstown; three grandchildren whom she raised and shared her home with, Tyler J. Surrena, Taylor Leigh Kubik, and Trevor M. Kubik; a sister, Karen S. Treharn of Austintown; a brother, Richard M. (Kathy) Stash, and their son, Michael of Boardman; many nieces and nephews; and many extended family members. A daughter, Misty Ann Kubik Green, passed away in 2015.

Private services have been held. Arrangements were entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Rd. , Youngstown.
