Linda Pauline Austin May 10, 1951 – January 16, 2019 Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries Linda Pauline Austin, age 67 of Wixom, passed away at her home early Wednesday morning, January 16, 2019. Born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on May 10, 1951, the daughter of the late Donald John Elmer and Dorothy V. (Perkins) Grissom. Linda was a resident of Wixom for the past 31 years.

She was a 1973 graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and minor in Psychology. She was a homemaker raising her family and helped in the family business Grissom Garage Builders. She enjoyed the outdoors, nature, flower gardening and Lake Tahoe, NV, but most of all spending time with her family and especially her granddaughters.

Beloved wife of 43 years to Michael W. Austin whom she married on August 15, 1975 in Reno, NV. Loving mother of Jennifer (Danny) Storch of Howell, and Jameley (Glenn) Becker of St. Johns, MI. Proud grandmother of Lily and Sophia Becker.

Loving daughter of Dorothy V. Grissom of Howell and sister of Patricia Mudd of San Diego and Donald John Grissom of Las Vegas. Dear aunt to Brandon (Rena) Mudd and Darci (Rob) Manwarren. She was preceded in death by her stepfather Warren E. Grissom.

Visitation Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. with a funeral service in honor and celebration of Linda’s life being held at 3:00 p.m. at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800). In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
