Linda Sue Rhoades, 74, of Merriam passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at AdventHealth Shawnee. She was born March 31, 1945 the daughter of Homer Augusta and Iona Faye Haynes in Kansas City, KS. On July 19, 1978 she married the love of her life, Dave Rhoades.

Linda was an equestrian. She enjoyed showing, riding, and training her horse. She would help others in any way that she could.

Linda also enjoyed going to the pool, taking care of her flowers, and loving her cats. She was a great mother, wife, and an exceptional grandmother. Linda leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Dave; a son, Chad Rhoades and wife Melissa of Independence, MO; two grandchildren, Amanda Bowling (Devon) and Allison Rhoades; and a brother, Rodney Haynes.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a son, David Rhoades Jr. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Maple Hill Funeral Home. The family will greet friends beginning at 9:00 A.M. until service time. Interment will be at the Chapel Hill Cemetery.
