Linda Wayne Bowman March 05, 1945 – February 28, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Linda Wayne Bowman (nee Egloff) passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 28, 2019, from complications related to Alzheimer’s in Wyoming, Michigan. Born in Detroit, Michigan on March 5, 1945, she was the oldest child of Chester and Geraldine Egloff. The family moved to Evart, Michigan in 1948, where Linda would live for 62 years before moving to Caledonia, Michigan to be closer to her children and their families.

She would live out her final years under the loving care of the staff of the Vista Springs Assisted Living Community Center. A 1963 graduate of Evart High School, Linda married Charlie, the one and only love of her life, on April 12, 1963. She devoted herself for the next 25 years to caring for her family and many friends and raising their two children.

During this time, she served as the Director of Religious Education at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she discovered a passion for teaching young people about the Catholic faith. She fulfilled a life-long dream and attended cosmetology school, and also worked as the office administrator for Dr Douglas Kane prior to retiring in 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Geraldine and Charlie, her husband of 35 years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Dale and Jennifer Bowman; daughter Kimberly Zoller; brother and sister-in-law Darwin and Kaye Egloff: brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Karen Bowman; her 5 grandchildren Maggie, Katie and Christopher Zoller; and, Providence and Calvin Bowman. emmanuelhospice.org), who the family would like to thank for providing such incredibly compassionate and dignifying care her final days. The family will receive visitors at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 9878 US-10, Evart, MI 49631 at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2019, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM presided over by Fr. Melvin Fox, and a luncheon immediately thereafter.
