Obituary of Linda Yocom Linda Lou Yocom, beloved mother to Matthew and Terry Yocom, left this world to join her heavenly father on November 2nd, 2018. She was born on March 5, 1959 in Canton, Ohio to Andrew and Ada Simons. Linda was proceeded in death by her parents and the father of her boys, Terry Yocom.

She is survived by her siblings Kathy Crabtree of Navarre, Ohio; Emma Simons , Nancy Simons, and Harry Simons all of Brewster, Ohio; and Elzie Simons of Canton, Ohio. She is also survived by her son Matthew Yocom and wife Lori of Clyde, her son Terry Yocom of Clyde, and 8 grandchildren Julian Smith, Lilly Smith, Alex Yocom, Anna Yocom, Olivya Palacio, Vanessa Palacio, Joshua Yocom, and Novalee Yocom. Many will remember Linda from her route on her ice cream truck LuLu’s Sweet Treats which ran a few years ago in Baird, Clyde, and, for a short time, in Abilene also.

She loved making kids smile and it gave her tremendous joy. Most importantly, Linda loved all her grandbabies. Whether it was Mam’maw, Gam’ma, or Grandma she was called by, each held a special place in her heart.

Linda was well respected and admired by those who knew her, not only for sharing God’s word, but for her caring and giving soul. Although her home was always with her family in Ohio, she made a life in Oklahoma, and then in Clyde about 8 years ago. This is where her heart, her grandchildren were.

She will forever be loved and missed by us all, especially as her favorite holiday, Christmas, approaches. Linda…. Mom, we Love you and know that we will someday see you once again in heaven.
