OBITUARY Linnie Margaret Howard December 16, 1933 – December 31, 2018 LINNIE MARGARET (SCHIFFNER) HOWARD December 16, 1933 – December 31, 2018 Linnie Margaret (Schiffner) Howard, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 in Colorado Springs at the age of 85. Mrs. Howard was born on December 16, 1933 in Dodge City, Kansas to Fred Schiffner and Mina (Speer) Schiffner She married the (late) J.W. Howard on March 27th, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas. After moving to Colorado Springs, in 1964 they opened and operated Howard’s Sewing and Repair Center, Inc. Linnie retired from the business after 47 years.

Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband J. W. Howard; son Randy Gresham of Ensign, Kansas; daughter Jamie (Howard) Osborn of Colorado Springs; brothers Fred Schiffner, Jr. of Dodge City, Kansas; Lloyd Schiffner of Dodge City, Kansas; and Albert Schiffner of Ensign, Kansas. She is survived by her daughter Kaylene (Howard) Kohl of Monument Colorado; sisters Ella (Schiffner) Simmons of Seattle Washington; Alberta (Schiffner) Wilson of Dighton Kansas; brother Floyd Schiffner of Valmeyer, Illinois; and grandson, Jesse James Gresham, of Ensign, Kansas. Services will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery Chapel located at 3825 Airport Rd.

in Colorado Springs on Saturday, January 5th. A visitation and remembrance gathering will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mrs. Howard’s memory to Brookdale Hospice, 7222 Commerce Center Drive, Suite 100, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919.
