Lisa Marie Cook, age 47, journeyed to the spirit world on Friday, May 17th, 2019 from the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Lisa was born the daughter of Geraldine (Neadeau) and Donald Cook, Sr. on June 26th, 1971 in Minneapolis, MN. Lisa was born in Minneapolis and shortly after her parents moved them to Bemidji; from there she moved to Red Lake, making that her home.

She worked several jobs including at the Seven Clans Casino, Vocation Rehab, HR, and a Blackjack Dealer. Lisa went on to earn her GED. Lisa and her friends Janet, Kristi, Vonnie and Nellie were known as the 1000 lbs.

gang. She had a good sense of humor and always had everyone laughing wherever she went. She had an infamous warhoop, where she would yell “yi-yi-yi-yi-yi”.

She was very comical. Lisa had a heart of gold, whenever anyone needed a place to stay or to eat, she never turned anyone down. She was an awesome cook; she made THE BEST biscuits and cinnamon rolls.

She loved going to the casino to play her Keno and doing puzzles. Lisa was a very loving mother and grandmother who absolutely loved and adored all her children and grandchildren. Family that Lisa is reunited with are her parents; Geraldine and Donald Sr., brother; Donald Cook, Jr., grandparents; Teddy and Ida Cook and James and Kate Neadeau, aunts; Barbara Cook, Roberta Crowe, Amelia Carson, Ina Mae McNeal, Vi Donnell, Edwina Neadeau and Delores Good, uncles; Hank Cook, Royce Sayers, Francis Neadeau, James Jr., Myron and Douglas Neadeau.

She leaves behind her daughters; Amy and Kara Cook, son; Jeffrey (Alexis) Cook, six grandchildren; Taleigha, Dezmen, Danayah, Styles, Arleighauna and Karleigha Cook, special friend; Terry Jones; sisters; Marla Needham and Vickie Neadeau, brother; Duane “DJ” Needham, special sisters; Janet Drouillard, Kristi Fairbanks, Kim Cook and Lylah May, aunts; Elaine Blanchard, Alivia Neadeau, Allura May, Sammi Braddock and Mary Ellen Cook, uncles; Fabian Cook and Leon Neadeau, special nephew; Jaden Wood, many more nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. A wake for Lisa will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 21st and continue until her 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, May 23rd all being held at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate.
