Obituary for Lloyd A. Malwitz Lloyd Arthur Malwitz, age 84, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning. He had been in declining health since April. Family and friends may visit on Monday, 1:00 to 8:00 pm at Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel.

Lloyd will lie in state at 10:00 am Tuesday at St John’s Lutheran Church in Waltz, MI. The family will host a celebration, honoring Lloyd’s life, on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Pastor Jeffrey Wade will officiate the service at St John’s Church, Waltz.

Lloyd was born on October 7, 1933 in Carleton, MI, where he continued to reside throughout his entire earthly life. He was the son of Arthur and Adelaide Malwitz, and brother to Bonnie Wehking (Malwitz). He married the love of his life, Georgia Rounsifer on May 4, 1957.

As a result of their loving marital union, they had three sons. Lloyd worked at General Motors for more than 30 years as a UAW worker, and enjoyed traveling with his wife after retirement. He served in the United States Army in Germany, as a Private, First Class.

He was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church of Waltz, a lifetime member of the VFW, and was a member of the Elks for a number of years. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie, and brothers-in-law Kenneth Wehking and Charley Samar. Lloyd enjoyed traveling up-north to the family cabin, NASCAR races, driving his golf cart around to visit his neighbors, and ice cream.

Above all, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and was a proud Grandpa to two loving grandsons. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Georgia; three children, Dennis (Kim) Malwitz, Darrin (Stephanie Shaw) Malwitz, and Daniel (Nikki) Malwitz, grandsons (Austin and Samuel), sister-in-law (Barbara Samar), and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to St John’s Lutheran Church of Waltz, VA of Ann Arbor, Visiting Angels of Monroe, or Heartland Hospice Care of Ann Arbor.
