Lloyd R. Robinson, 84, of Gowen/Greenville, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 14, 2018 at Royal View Retirement Community in Mecosta. Lloyd was born on March 25, 1934 in Doniphan, MO, the son of Jess L. and Minnie L. (Hall) Robinson. Lloyd worked at Electrolux for 36 years retiring in 1995.

He worked his entire career in department No. 204. For several years he served as a union steward, a position he thoroughly enjoyed.

At Electrolux he was known as “Robbie”. Having grown up in a rural area of Southern Missouri Lloyd had hunted since he was five years old, a past time he enjoyed his whole life. For many years Lloyd was known across America for raising and making available to others Walker Fox Hounds.

Over the past several months Lloyd has lived at Royal View Retirement Community in Mecosta and was well liked by the staff and other residents. He is loved and survived by his children; Delbert Ray Robinson and fiancé (Milly Dempsey) of Greenville, Jerri (Tom) McCarthy, Pauline (Mike) Fuller all of Gowen, Walter (Stacey) Gibbs of Broken Arrow, OK, grandchildren; Amanda, Shannon, David, Billy, Joey, Richard, Joseph, William, Stacie, Matthew, Gregory, Lauren, Sydney and Tyler, many great grandchildren, sister Sue Cooper of Springfield, IL. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters; Jerry Kenneth Robinson, Delbert Robinson, Modina Carrol, Maxine Ambrose, Opal Merriman, Verneal Day and one granddaughter; Ericka.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Committal prayers will follow in West Montcalm Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6:00-8:00 PM and again one hour before the funeral.
