She was born to Walter and Laura (Walters) Culling in Detroit, MI on April 25, 1934. Lois was a long-time resident of Toledo and graduated from Scott High School.

The “Guys and Gals” Youth Group at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Toledo, is where she met her future husband, Jack Burgoon. They wed in 1955 and were happily married until his passing in 2004. Together they raised three boys.

Lois worked for Fleeger’s Hardware and Owner’s Management Co. as a bookkeeper and office manager before her retirement. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, sewing and she was an avid baker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack and brothers, Donald and Alvin.

Surviving are her sons, Greg (Melanie), David (Jodie) and Roy (Shelli); grandchildren, Jennifer, Kaitlin, Danny, Alex and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Cambria and Liam; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Foth-Dorfmeyer Mortuary, 3815 Sylvania Ave. (at Woodley Rd.

) on Monday from 4-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family prefers memorial contributions to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church-Toledo or the Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.
