Lois Hilda Kellerman, nee Tews, 88, of Nampa, ID was called home to be with the Lord on October 15, 2018. She was born on March 3, 1930 in Caldwell, ID to Arthur and Nellie Tews, nee Weick. A graduate of Notus High School, Lois was united in marriage to Mervin Kellerman on December 14, 1950 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Parma, ID.

As his constant and loving companion, Lois served with Mervin thru his pastoral vicarage, final year of seminary training, and pastoral ministry in the states of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington before retiring to Nampa, ID where they resided for the past twenty-nine years. As a devoted mother Lois was dearly loved, in return, by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Lois will be remembered as a life-long hostess for family and friends (continuing in the Weick family’s gift of hospitality).

She followed her mother’s love of flowers, gardening, cooking, and baking. Her beautiful yard reflected many heirloom varieties. She was famous for sharing delicious food with everyone and anyone, from the neighborhood kids to the LWML and met each with warmth and friendship.

As a faithful letter writer and card sender she kept people connected in and out of the family, making each one feel special. She lived her faith with open expression that Jesus died and paid for her sins, and belief in the resurrection with the hope of eternal life through Him. Lois is preceded in death by her brother Earl, her parents, and her sister Inez (Rick).

She is survived by her beloved husband, Mervin, of sixty-seven years; her sister Janet (Al) Schudde; her brother Harold (Juanita) Tews; her four children – Eunice (Terry) Carlson, David (Jane), Craig (Mary Jane), and Brian (Rita); her twelve grandchildren – Amy Carlson, Karlene (Forrest) Hill, Angela (David) Lautzenheiser, Melissa (Jared) Akins, Julie (Casey) Palbicki, Joel (Jill) Kellerman, John (Deanna) Kellerman, Laura Kellerman, Lisa Kellerman, Lindsey (Gabriel) Stevens, Quentin Kellerman, and Cora Kellerman; her fourteen great-grandchildren – Caleb, Eli, Jaeden, Krew, Emree, Hanlee, Nellie, Taylor, Samuel, Hudson, Isla, Xander, Audrey, and Emmeline; and by numerous extended family.
