Lois Joy Hamilton, daughter of Joseph and Violet Adams Tarman, was born March 2, 1932, in East St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, March 14, 2019, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-seven years, and twelve days. On August 21, 1950, she was united in marriage to Jerry Patrick Hamilton, and to this union three children were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry, on April 21, 2011; her eighteen month old baby sister, Delores; and an adopted son, Michael Dapron. Lois is survived by three daughters, Carla Hamilton, of Lebanon, Missouri, Dayna Baldridge, and her husband, Bobby, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Gail Lukowski, and her husband, Roy, of Collinsville, Illinois; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the East St. Louis area.

She then met her future husband, Jerry, and they married while he was serving in the military at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Once Jerry was honorably discharged from the military, they made their home in Millstadt, Illinois and lovingly raised their children. Lois dedicated her life in loving devotion to her husband and children and volunteered time in nursing homes through visitations.

Along with her husband, she did volunteer work for ten years at a Specialized Living Center for Handicapped. There they met and adopted their son, Michael, and later led him to the Lord. Lois and Jerry moved to Lebanon in 1989, and made their home.

Lois loved Jesus as a child and made Him her Lord and Savior as a young mother. After moving to Lebanon, she and Jerry became active members of Lebanon Church of the Nazarene, and later became members of LifePoint Church. Church was always a very important part of her life and she enjoyed being a part of the prayer chain for Jesus.

In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, decorating, reading the Bible and sharing Jesus with others. Lois was a loving mother and a caring friend and neighbor. We celebrate her life and will always cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends.
