Obituary for Lois W. Adams Lois W. Adams, 84 formerly of 322 S. Main, Marble Rock, died Friday, October 19, 2018, at the Nora Springs Care Center. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, October 22, 2018, at the Marble Rock Community Center in Marble Rock, Iowa. Officiating will be Rev.

Bob Scheurer of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 pm Sunday, October 21 at the Community Center. Inurnment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene, Iowa.

Memorials may be offered to St. Croix Hospice, St. Paul Lutheran Church or MS Foundation. Lois was born on March 14, 1934, in Greene, Iowa the daughter of Galen and Esther (Uker) Shultz. She was raised on a farm near Dougherty.

She was the homecoming queen and graduated from Greene High School in 1952. That same year, she married Max C. Adams in Missouri. During her earlier years she was a homemaker and then was long time cook at the Marble Rock School for elementary through junior high starting in 1966 and retiring in about 2000.

She enjoyed going to dances and roller-skating. She actively followed her children and grandchildren in sporting and other events and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Lois is survived by her four children, Debra and husband J.R. Warren of Augusta KS; Amber and her husband Randy Bushbaum, Rockwell; Reid Adams, Marble Rock; and Darla and her husband Philip Parker, Rockford; along with 15 grandchildren Chris (Annie) Warren, Jeff (Shawnacy) Warren, Nick Warren, Heather Bushbaum, Clint (Annika) Bushbaum, Lindsy (Troy) Mayland, Ashley (Brian) Gansen, Chase Adams, Madison (Chris) Engels, Wesley, Erika, Kylie, and Kalen Parker; 18 Great Grandchildren Caleb, Dylan, Daniel, Alex, Blakely, Shayla, Tate, Tucker, Savannah, Brisbane, Isla, Wrigley, Maesy, Klayton, McCabe, Aubrey, Claire, and Raif.

She is also survived by her longtime friend and partner Andy Frascht. The family would like to extend their grateful appreciation to the staff of the care center and hospice who worked tirelessly to make Lois and her family comfortable. Preceding her in death are her parents, one sister Donna Neal, and two brothers Galen “Bud” Jr. and Donald Shultz.
