Obituary for Lonnie “Jake Bennett Lonnie Lee “Jake” Bennett Augusta, GA – Mr. Lonnie Lee “Jake” Bennett, 88, passed away, Tuesday, December 25, 2018, loving husband of 62 years to Mrs. Jean Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a native of West Virginia but made his home in Augusta for the past 40 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Masonic Temple Social Lodge #1 of Augusta, GA and Scottish Rite Valley of Augusta and a member of Martinez United Methodist Church Family members in addition to his wife, include daughter: Pam Houser (Marty); four grandsons: Brett and Casey Houser, Joseph and Nicholas Bennett; one great grandson: Wyatt Bennett; brother: Charles Bennett (Barbara) of Ohio and sister: Francis Geiger of West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Bennett. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Dr. Gary McWhorter officiating. The family would like to thank Southeast Hospice for the care that was given to Mr. Bennett.
