Lora Mae Gifford, age 102, of Zephyr, passed away at her home on Monday, May 27, 2019. Lora was born in Haskell, Texas on January 30, 1917 to Luther Marrion Keel and Eugenia Mae Jones Keel. She married Joe W. Gifford on July 30, 1938 in Haskell.

They were blessed with four beautiful children who were their pride and joy. Then, in 1959, they were blessed with an additional family whom they loved dearly. Lora was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she served faithfully for several decades.

Her hobbies included gardening, making porcelain dolls, and making jewelry. However, her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Verle Rice and husband Eddy and Marscilla Grice; son Sammy Spurlock; daughter-in-law Linda Gifford; brother Roy Keel; 21 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 50 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe W. Gifford; daughters, Joetta Hill, Sheryl Myrick and Carol Spurlock; sons Burl Gifford and Johnny Spurlock; sisters Lela Edwards, Willie Willis, Mable Ingram, Ellen Russell and Laurice Fraley; brothers Allen Keel and Gene Keel; and her parents Luther and Eugenia Keel. Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Phillip Scott and Reverend Lyn Rice officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
