Loretta’s Obituary Loretta Burrell, age 84, of Malvern, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 16, 2018. She was born on September 7, 1934, to the late John William Moore and Mozell Mitchell Moore. Loretta grew up in Malvern and joined Bethel A.M.E. Church at an early age.

After graduating from A.A. Wilson High School, she moved to Oxnard, California where she spent most of her adult life. After returning to Malvern, she began working as a cook for The Malvern Senior Adult Center. In her spare time, she could be found sewing, shopping, and even taking care of her beautiful garden.

Always the life of the party, she was known to be talkative and always spoke her mind. Loretta was preceded in death by her afore-mentioned parents, one daughter, Lisa Burrell, and one sister, Emma Lee Moore. Loretta will be remembered fondly by three sons: John Hunter (Lesa) of Searcy, AR, Reginald Haymon of Searcy, AR, and Dennis Burrell (Wanda) of Malvern, AR; two grandchildren she reared in as her own children, that she loved dearly: Ashley Davis (Pat) and Tralesia Burrell, both of Malvern; fourteen grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Home Going Celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at First Baptist Vine Street Church, with Rev. John Hunter serving as eulogist. A public visitation will be held Friday, September 28, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Brandon’s Mortuary in Malvern.
