Loretta M. (Davis) Geibel, 87, of Butler, passed away Friday morning, May 10, 2019, at Concordia at the Orchard. Born August 15, 1931 in East Franklin Twp, Armstrong County, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. Davis and Marcella G. (Shriver) Davis. Loretta was a homemaker and was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, also St. Wendelin’s Christian Mothers.

She enjoyed home making, quilting, crocheting and bowling. Surviving are her 3 sons: Larry F & Linda K. Geibel of East Butler; Terry L. & Beverly Geibel of Butler; David E & Luann A. Geibel of East Butler. 1 daughter, Brenda L. & Mark Voelker of Butler.

9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 2 step great grandchildren and 2 step great great grandchildren. 2 brothers: Robert “Bud” Davis of Renfrew and Theodore “Ted” (Ruth) Davis of Prospect. 1 sister, Jane Taylor of Depew, NY.

Ina addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur F. Geibel, whom she married July 19, 1949, he died October 16, 1998; also her sister, Ruth Wretz. Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center.

The Rev. Matt McClain, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Wendelin’s Parish Cemetery.
