Loretta J. “Tootsie” Cieply, 87, of Monessen, passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 13, 2019 after celebrating her birthday in a joyous occasion with her loving family the day before. She was born on May 12, 1932 in Monessen, the daughter of the late Andrew and Julia (Dubinsky) Fritz. Loretta grew up in Monessen and was a 1950 graduate of Monessen High School.

She had worked at the Douglas Business School as the Financial Secretary before retiring in 1973. Loretta was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church and its Sisterhood. She was an avid card player and played in two card clubs for over 50 years with her lifelong friends.

Those who knew her, knew she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered as a caring, reliable, dependable, responsible, and faithful person. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Walter “Woch” Cieply, two daughters, Karen (George) Guseman of Monongahela, and “Sissy” (Dennis) Jochmann of Moon Twp.

; a son Walter A. (Beverly) Cieply of Rostraver Twp. ; nine grandchildren, Derek Jochmann, Brittany Jochmann, Julianne (Owen) Evans, Ben (Shawna) Cieply, Dan (Ashley) Cieply, Aaron (Jessi) Cieply, Ethan (Rachel) Cieply, Robin Guseman, George (Rae Lyn) Guseman; nine great grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Betty Kunsa.

Friends will be received in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services 441 Reed Ave. Monessen, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, and on Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service with Rev. Tim Burgan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. Condolences accepted for the family at www. dalfonso-billick.com.
