Lori Ann Shearon Dupree , June 17, 1957 — July 03, 2018

Lori Ann Dupree (nee Shearon), age 61, of Nags Head, North Carolina, formerly Indiana & Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 after a ten-month battle with breast cancer. Lori is survived by her daughter, Stacey (Wallace) Walker of Manteo; son, Brett (Amanda) Forgich of Jacksonville, FL; mother, Agnes Krahn; sister, Karen Fife; brothers: Michael and Scott Shearon; nieces: Emily Shearon, Abby Murphy and Grace Shearon and nephew, Connor Fife; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, David Vido, Tracy Kay (aka Tiki), Kim LaFountaine, Pam Robertson and Bob Thompson; her furry friends: Sadie, Bella, Rudy, Reecie and Pirate; and many dear friends. Preceded in death by her father, Robert (Bobby)Shearon.

Lori was born June 17, 1957 in East Chicago, Indiana and was a graduate of Gavit High School; she worked in the food, beverage, and hospitality industry all her life at various establishments in Illinois, Indiana and the Outer Banks; she was currently employed at the Days Inn & Suites Mariner in Kill Devil Hills; Lori loved her dogs and thoroughly enjoyed the Outer Banks lifestyle on the beach; she also enjoyed food and cooking for her family and friends – always had great recipes! ; Lori will be dearly missed by her many friends and family and she will never be forgotten. In honoring Lori’s wishes, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date, at which time her cremains will be scattered in the waters she loved so much.
