Louis Craig, age 91, of Crestview, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. He was born in Milligan, Florida and had resided in Okaloosa County a majority of his life. Mr. Craig attended Crestview High School where he played football, was class President for four years and served as Editor-in-Chief to the first school annual, the 1945 Crimson Crest.

Mr. Craig joined the U.S. Navy at age 17 where he served his Country honorably during W.W. II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Upon his return from the war he attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma social fraternity and the American Institute of Industrial Engineers. Mr. Craig owned several successful local businesses.

Mr. Craig was a member of the Concord Lodge #50 F&AM; Morocco Shrine Temple; Hadji Shrine Temple; Old Spanish Trail Shriners and their El Nobles Motorcycle Unit; Los Cabelleros Espanoles, where he served as President and Don. Mr. Craig was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Louise Ward Craig; his parents, Gordon and Ella W. Craig; and his sister, Ruby Craig Brewer. Mr. Craig is survived by his son, Aubrey W. Craig and his wife Jacqueline; daughters, Christine Craig Villa and her husband Richard, Deborah Craig Nestor, and Susan Craig Zagorski; sister, Mildred Craig Fisher.

Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Richard Theodore Villa, Jr., Sarah Villa Oberliesen, Cynthia Villa Miller, Mary Villa Rice, Minta Nester Timbers, Nicholas Craig Zagorski, Gillian Craig Zagorski, Aubrey Ward Craig II, and Sarah Elizabeth Craig. Two great-grandchildren, Charles Nunzio Oberliesen and Piper Jane Oberliesen. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 9:00am with a memorial service to follow at 10:00am in the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home.

A family burial will follow in the Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida, 5200 Bayou Boulevard, Pensacola, Florida 32503. Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home Crestview.
