Louis’ Obituary Louis “Gah” Londo Sr., age 63, of Naytahwaush, MN, died Thursday, January 24, 2019, at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Louis Harold Londo was born October 31, 155, in Crookston, MN, the son of Malcolm and Harriet (Emerson) Londo. He grew up in Naytahwaush and as a young man was united in marriage to Teri Wadena.

They made their home in Naytahwaush and were blessed with four children: Misty, Shannon, Louis Jr. and Megan. They later divorced and Gah remained in Naytahwaush. He attended the Vo-Tech in Detroit Lakes for plumbing and worked several years for White Earth Public Works.

Gah also worked with Barney Turner for many years digging graves. His health deteriorated quickly after his recent cancer diagnosis in December. Berry picking, harvesting maple syrup, ricing, leeching, trapping, logging, hunting and fishing are all outside activities that Gah loved doing.

He filled his days with these activities and usually gave away all the fruits of his labors. Gah was very generous and always seemed to look out for the elders. Although, he was known to be a bit stubborn and usually brutally honest, he meant well and came across as a very down to earth individual.

He had a great sense of humor and was good with a witty or quirky comeback. Gah appreciated his family and the time he was able to spend with them, especially his grandchildren and so many of his nieces and nephews. When Gah wasn’t outside, he liked to play dominoes, roll dice, put together jigsaw puzzles and play cards such as Whist and Cribbage.

In his younger years, Gah played softball and as he aged his role changed to one of the umpire instead of the player, but nonetheless he still had fun. He also strummed a little guitar in his day and enjoyed listening to all kinds of music and kicking back to watch a good movie with a big bowl of popcorn. Gah will be missed by many but live on in their hearts.

Louis is survived by two sons, Shannon (Marissa) Londo and Louis Londo Jr. both of Naytahwaush; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers: Merlin Londo, Ray Londo, Corvin (Arlene) Londo and Joel (Nette) Londo; four sisters: Leah Hagen, Candy (Will) Peters, Dolly Londo and Kitty (Rick) Accobee all of Naytahwaush; brothers-in-law: Floyd LaFriniere, Curt Bevins and Duane Spry; step-brothers and sister: Leo (Marcie) Jacobson, Keith (Karen) Jacobson, Earl Jacobson and Lila (Delvis) Jones; special friend, Izola Hill and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Harriet, step-mom, Opal Londo; two daughters, Misty Jo and Megan; and four sisters: Bonnie Wadena, Loris LaFriniere, Lynn Spry and Ardyce McCradie. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Naytahwaush, MN.

Visitation will also take place at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Monday, January 28, 2019, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m and one hour prior to the service.
