Murley’s Obituary Murley Wichern, age 86, of Danbury, WI died on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. Murley Walter Wichern was born on July 3, 1932 to Henry and Rosa (Allrich) Wichern in rural Twin Valley, MN. He grew up in Twin Valley where he attended country school.

As a young man, Murley entered the workforce spending most of his years working for and retiring from Dana Corp. Murley was united in marriage to Judith Nystrom on September 2, 1958. The couple made their home in Minneapolis where they were blessed with three daughters and three sons.

After their divorce, Murley made his home for many years on his hunting land in Danbury, WI with his dear friend. A true talent of Murley was his wood working skills. He made numerous pieces that were mere beauty.

He also loved spending time in the great outdoors. In his younger years, he had enjoyed many deer hunting trips “up north” to the land he grew up on. Murley is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Doyal) Halvorson, Sandra Wichern, and Tammy (Ronald) Hiltner; his sons, Mitchell, Miles (Mindy), and Merle (Irene); ten grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brother, Donald and Morris (Joan); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rosa; stepfather, Hugh; brother, Reinhardt; and sister, Rosell Portz. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 19 at 3:00 PM in the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Twin Valley, MN. Services entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home of Twin Valley.
