Obituary for Louis Saraceno Louis Saraceno, 81, passed away on June 6, 2018. He battled five different cancers throughout his life, but ultimately died from complications of a broken leg. Lou was born on July 27, 1936 in the Bronx.

He was raised in the Bronx and had many great stories of growing up “in the neighborhood”. He enlisted in the army and served his country from 1954 to 1956. In 1958, he married Ann Rose Mastropierro, moving to Yorktown Heights in 1963 where they raised their family.

Moving from the Bronx to Yorktown Heights, they always wondered “where are the street lights? ” Lou was a small business owner and entrepreneur, building several successful businesses across a wide spectrum of industries, including beauty salons, dry cleaners, a fast food restaurant, a movie theatre, and a home cleaning business. He was hard-working and handy and could fix anything that needed repair.

He was gritty and persistent, and never took “no” for an answer. If he was told it couldn’t be done, Lou would find a way to do it. His passion was cars, and he bought and sold antique automobiles throughout his life.

Lou is survived by his loyal and dutiful wife, Ann, his three beloved sons, Michael, Mark, and John. He is also survived by daughter in-law, Kathy, former daughter in-laws, Snez and Lesli, and eight wonderful grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, Andrew, Alexander, Sophie, Chiara, Hunter, and Colt. Also survived by his brother Bruno and sister in-law Monique.

Predeceased by his brother Mario. Lou went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are sad, but not distraught, knowing that we will see him again in heaven.

A wake will be held for Lou at Yorktown Funeral Home, 945 E Main St, Shrub Oak, NY 10588, on Sunday June 10th from 2:00-6:00 pm, and a funeral mass will be held on Monday June 11th at St. Patrick’s Church, 137 Moseman Rd, Yorktown Heights NY 10598 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow immediately at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Putnam Valley NY. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
