Obituary for Louise B. Hepp Louise B. Hepp, nee Bauman, 73, of Millstadt, IL. , born January 21, 1945, in Highland, IL. , passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on September 1, 2018.
Louise graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame and worked for a number of years as a civil service secretary at Scott AFB. She then worked as a bank secretary before retiring as a commercial loan coordinator after 32 years of dedicated service with First National Bank of Millstadt and Central Bank of St. Louis. A devoted Catholic, Louise was a long-time member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL.
She was a member of St. James Over 50 Club, and former member of St. James CCW Sodality. A talented seamstress, Louise enjoyed sewing for her children as well as herself, and home sewing projects. Louise lived every day of her life with a big heart and devotion to her family.
She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren: Taylor, Hannah, Dawson and Dylan. Louise was always someone you could count on to help out and she never asked for anything in return. She was one of the most trustworthy and honest people that many of her friends and family have ever had the privilege to know.
Louise was loved by many and she will be greatly missed. Louise was preceded in death by her father, Emil A. Bauman, and mother, Mathilda A. (Netemeyer) Bauman, sister, Ruth Zimmerman, infant sister, Geraldine Bauman, Brother-in-law, Ronald Zimmerman, and nephew, Todd Bauman. Surviving are: her son, G. David (Melissa) Hepp of Shiloh, IL; her daughter, Sarah L. (Timothy) Richter of Waterloo, IL; grandchildren, Taylor Connor, Hannah Hepp, Dawson Richter and Dylan Richter; sisters, Phyllis (Ray) Adams of St. Louis, MO; Paulette Bauman of St. Louis, MO; brothers, James (Toni) Bauman of Belleville, IL; Marcel Bauman of Belleville, IL; Gerald (Dorothy) Bauman of Breese, IL; her twin, Louis (Nancy) Bauman of DuBois, IL; and Paul (Jane) Bauman of Belleville, IL; along with many nieces and nephews; dear friends, Norma and Rich Brune; and many other close friends.
Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 4 – 7 p.m., at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL. Services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL at 10 a.m. with Monsignor Marvin Volk officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, IL.
