Obituary for Louise Ruth Ashwill Louise Ruth Ashwill (nee Loepp), age 89, of Elyria, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain. She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Elyria for the past year having lived most of her adult life in North Ridgeville and Berea. Louise enjoyed traveling, gardening, sudoku and word puzzles.

She was an avid reader and a continuous learner. Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Jane (Bill) Kopas of Oberlin, Joan Alice (Lenny) Hufstetler of Elyria, June Rose (Joe) of Elyria, Jean Marie (Jim) Clark of Grafton; sons, James Thomas (Diane, deceased) of Parma Hts. , Jeffrey Paul (Sue) of Medina, Jayce Robert (Margaret) of Powell; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother, Wally (Barbara) Loepp of Middleburg Hts.

; sister, Yolie (Tom) Morgan of Concord Twp. , sisters-in-law, Janet Loepp of Olmsted Falls and Josephine Loepp of Cleveland; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leon Ashwill; parents, Robert and Ruth (nee Schwandt) Loepp.

Private burial will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville. The family requests donations be made in Louise’s name to The City Mission, 5310 Carnegie Ave. , Cleveland 44103.
