Obituary for Louise Campbell Nellie Louise Thompson Campbell, 90, of 601 Prospect Walk, Clifton Forge, Virginia, went peacefully at home to be with the Lord, surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. She was born June 11, 1928 in Clifton Forge to the late Henry Ansel and Nannie Lee Byer Thompson. She was a homemaker, and lifelong member of the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church, where she volunteered in the Clothes Closet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gernie William Campbell, a brother, Lewis Thompson, and a great granddaughter, Kelsey Ramsey. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Higgins and husband Mike, Nancy Nicely, and Dorothy Clark and husband Cooter, all of Clifton Forge; six grandchildren, Andrea Higgins, Daisy Tucker, Lelia Tacy, Jim Nicely, Amanda Putnam, and Crystal McKenney; twelve great grandchildren, Shaun Persinger, Gene Tucker, Chase Nicely, Kobe Nicely, Harlan Nicely, Lelian Nicely, Stacy Tacy, Chadwick Tacy, William Bates, Emilee Terry, Dakota McKenney, and Nathan McKenney; a number of nephews and nieces, including a special niece, Barbara Jean Thompson; and loving friends, Ellen Broughman and Elizabeth Sharp. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church, Clifton Forge with Reverend Paul Brokaw and Mr. Chris Fisher officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Shaun Persinger, Jim Nicely, Chad Tacy, Jonathan McKenney, Jason Beard, Robbie Oyler, David Campbell, and Austin Tucker. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
