(Retired) John Augustus Wells, age 86 of Winter Springs, FL, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 28, 1932 to the late Cornelius Augustus and Mary Rucia McGahee Wells. Lt.

Col. (Retired) Wells served his county proudly in Korea and Vietnam and spent his career in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, watching University of Georgia Football and sumo wrestling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Yuriko Aoyama Wells; sister, Juanita Wells. Surviving are his son, John Augustus Wells, Jr. of Orlando, Florida and his daughter, Susan Wells of Winter Springs, Florida. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Friday, February 1, 2019 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev.

Terry Rice and Dr. Kenneth Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
