Obituary for Roger Dale Whitfield Roger Dale Whitfield, age 64 of Demorest, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Born in Demorest, Georgia on December 6, 1954 to the late William Joseph, Jr. and Cora Lee Gibson Whitfield. Mr. Whitfield enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Jean Smith Whitfield; brother, William Henry Whitfield. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Katrina Whitfield of Cornelia; grandchildren, Katelyn Whitfield, Amber Whitfield, Madison Whitfield; step grandchildren, Dawson Ansley, Addie Kimbrell; great-grandson, Grayson Thompson; brother, John Robert Whitfield of Demorest; sisters, Clara Mae Arrowood of Cleveland, Betty Ann Martin and Rebecca Ann Grier both of Demorest; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services are scheduled for 1 pm, Friday, January 18, 2019 at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.

Charlie Pugh and Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 am until 12:30 pm prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
