Lucille “Cille” Bailey March 27, 1933 – March 04, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Lucille (Cille) Triplett Bailey of Burden, KS born March 27, 1933 in Winfield, KS passed away March 4, 2019 at Via Christi St Francis Hospital, Wichita KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Neva Triplett, husband Don Bailey, infant son David Lee Bailey, son Paul Bailey, granddaughters, Kelly Shaffer and Amy Shaffer Mabion. Survivors are her daughters, Karen Iverson and husband Rod of Arkansas City and Lynda Custer and husband Ben of Olathe, daughter in law, Pam Bailey of Arkansas City.

Her grandchildren, Tara, Mike and Taran Taylor, of Arkansas City, Trevor, Molly and Cohen Harris of Kansas City, Carrie Havens and Tristan of Derby, Stacy and Andy Hilliard, Keeley, Adrienne and Jackson of Lee Summit, MO, Jayden, Braylen and Trinity Mabion of Olathe, Megan and Kansas Mumford, Ryker and Rynlee of Winfield, KS, Cory Bailey and Toni Grondin and Emma of New Hampshire. Cille was a Christian, who loved the Lord and was lifetime member of the Burden Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school and vacation bible school for many years.

Lucille worked in radio for 28 years at area radio stations, KNIC, KNRB, KSOK and WKS in Winfield, Arkansas City and Derby. Lucille loved reading, writing, baking, traveling, her church, life-long friends, children and grandchildren, and most of all her dog Joy. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Burden.

Interment will follow at the Burden Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the Burden Baptist Church. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
