To be absent from the body is to present with the Lord. Lucille M. Forster was born August 14, 1953 in White Plain, New York; to the late Henry and Bertha Rogers Anderson. She departed this life Sunday April 28, 2019 at Golden Living Center Mishawaka, Indiana; following a lengthy illness.

Lucille received her formative education in the Benton Harbor Area Schools. She was employed many years by Heath Company in St. Joseph, MI. Later she pursued her passion to become a foster parent.

Lucille accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Unity Temple Church of God in Christ, Benton Harbor, MI. ; under the leadership of Bishop William Nichols. She loved God and working in God’s Kingdom made it evident by serving in various capacities in the church, she served as a Missionary, Prayer Warrior and Prophetess.

Lucille loved to cook and had a passion for interior decorating. She also loved to dress, and she was known for the beautiful hats she wore. Her Motto: “If I Can Help Somebody Then My Living is Not in Vain” Lucille leaves to cherishes her memories four daughters: Sharon (Victor) Randle of Grand Rapids; Shenika Marshall, Kimberly Marshall, and Victoria Marshall all South Bend, IN; three sons Andre Marshall, Keri Foster, of South Bend, IN and Michael Marshall of Indianapolis, IN.

Twenty-one grandchildren; Three brothers Henry Marshall of Benton Harbor, MI; and Robert Marshall of South Bend, IN; Andre Anderson of Chicago, one brother-n-law Joe Bolden IL; Four sisters; Nadine Marshall of North Carolina; Sarah Phipps King, and Tomorrene Anderson of Benton Harbor, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Foster and her parents Henry and Bertha Anderson, one sister Gloria Bolden and one brother Arthur Price. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635.

Bishop William Nichols, pastor of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ-South Bend, will officiate the service. Family and friends will gather two hours prior to the service, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be shared on this site.
