Lopez, 97 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Rio Rancho Care Center in Rio Rancho, NM following an illness. She was born February 26, 1922 in San Ignacio, NM to the home of Francisco and Micalita (Segura) Lopez. She grew up on the family ranch at San Ignacio.

She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. Lucinda is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Gregorio Lopez Sr., Jose Hipolito Lopez, three sisters Rita Abeyta, Chon Garcia, and Andrea Chavez. Holy rosary followed by the funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Christopher Bernabe officiating. Additional obituary information is pending. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S. Third Street, Santa Rosa, New Mexico.
