Luda’s Obituary Luda Ray Copeland September 5, 1924 – January 31, 2019 Ray Copeland was born in Fort Payne Alabama on September 5, 1924 to M. H. and Ethel Shamblin Copeland. He passed away on January 31, 2019 at home with his family at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Opal Absher Copeland, his brother George Lee Copeland, sister Vaudine (Joe) Howell, his son Danny Absher, granddaughter Carl Absher and grandson James Absher.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Arthur and June Absher, his grandsons Scott and Michael Absher, a host of nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Hanceville Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening beginning at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Adamsburg at 2 p.m. on Monday the 4th.
