Luella V. Brown, 89 of Centerville and formerly of Seymour passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Luella was born to Frank & Goldie (Mattly) Weaver on December 5, 1929 in Promise City, Iowa. Luella received her education from Seymour Schools.

On August 28, 1970, Luella was united in marriage to Jesse Burton Brown, they made their home in Seymour. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and boating with Jesse through her life. They also enjoyed attending auctions.

Luella loved her cats and dogs and the joy they brought to her. Survivors include daughter, Sharon Sager (Tom), grandchildren: Andrew Sager (Dave), Jennifer Moore (Joel Fischgrabe), great grandchildren: Hailey and Lily Moore and a brother, Elvin Weaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, her parents, siblings: Albert, Edith, Helen, Vernon, Verna, Leona and Leatta.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour with Rev. Micaiah Stanley officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Southlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on hour prior to the service from 10-11 am. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Seymour and condolences may be shared at www. thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
