It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Luis Jaime Martinez, age 57, announces his passing on Sunday, September 30, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home in Westfield, NJ from 7pm-9pm. Funeral mass will be Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Elizabeth, NJ at 10am.

Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, NJ. A proud United States Navy veteran, Luis served as a Navy corpsman for eight years. He then pursued a career in pharmaceutical sales.

He is most known for his dedication to his family. Having overcome so many obstacles and challenges, Luis showed continued strength and resilience in a way that taught all of his loved ones to embrace their own obstacles and persevere. Luis was the type of family man who enjoyed making others laugh and never backed down from a great debate.

Luis Jaime will be deeply missed but never forgotten by his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife, Maricela, his son, Luis Daniel, his daughters, Melissa and Angelica, his grandson, Nicholas, as well as his twin brother, Jaime Luis, sister, Mery Toledo, brother, Rigoberto, and so many family members who will always remember him for his laughter and extremely caring ways.
