Lula “Lue” Belle Rash Oglesby, 84, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Baptist Health Madisonville. She was born in Mortons Gap, KY on October 2, 1934 to the late David Rash and Viola Witherspoon Rash. She had been a member of Mortons Gap Christian Church since 1944.

She had worked at Bellsouth for thirteen years and for Roberts Brothers Coal Company for thirty-two years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Oglesby in 1995; two sisters: Wilma Rash Clements and Mary Rash Smith; and three brothers: Bennie Rash, David Rash, and Lindell Rash. She is survived by her two children: Suzanne Greene and her husband, Paul, of Newburgh, IN and Michael Oglesby and his wife, Lois, of Madisonville, KY; one sister, Margaret Rash Roberts of Madisonville, KY; one brother, Alan Rash of Mortons Gap, KY; three grandchildren: Brandy Oglesby Fitzpatrick and her husband, Ryan, of Liberty Township, OH, and Rachel Greene Russell and her husband, Mike, of Dawson Springs, KY and Joshua Greene of Louisville, KY; three great grandchildren: Emma Russell, Ellanor Russell, and Will Fitzpatrick and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Mortons Gap Christian Church in Mortons Gap, KY with Paul Greene, Steve Sandefur, and Kevin Jett officiating and burial to follow at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville, KY. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 9:30 AM until service time at Mortons Gap Christian Church. Pallbearers will be: Joshua Greene, Mike Russell, Ryan Fitzpatrick, David Roberts, Larry Wicks, O.D. Camplin, and Darval Rash.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Kenny Stanley, Ronnie Bourland, Alan Rash, and David Knight. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Mortons Gap Christian Church- Missions fund.P.O. Box 168 Mortons Gap, KY 42440. Envelopes will be available at the church.
