Luz’s Obituary Luz “Armida” Lopez 37, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas with her husband and family at her side. Rosary and Mass are being held at San Jose Catholic Church on Wednesday May 8, 2019 beginning at 1 p.m. Cremation will take place following the mass. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 1-6 p.m. at West Funeral Home.

Armida was born in Hobbs, NM on September 27, 1981. She had many hobbies but most of all enjoyed spending time in her garden. She loved entertaining and gathering with family and friends and was always the life of the party.

Armida always spent every living moment with her closest family and her grandchildren, that she absolutely adored. Her infectious smile and laugh will be greatly missed. Armida is survived by her husband Albert Vazquez; parents Jesus and Luz (Mendoza) Lopez; children: Jessica Lopez, Mikaila Arnold and Kaitlynn Arnold; stepchildren: Albert Vazquez, Jr., Gabrielle Vazquez and wife Erika and Alicia Vazquez; sisters: Alicia and husband Cody Wages, Esmeralda Lopez and Rocio Lopez and husband Manuel Garcia Jr.; grandchildren: Jada Vazquez, Marcus Vazquez and Karter Kessler.

Also numerous aunt’s, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom loved her dearly.
