Lyle’s Obituary Lyle F. Edwards, 84, of Shullsburg, WI passed away on —Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, WI. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13th at the United Methodist Church in Benton, WI with Rev. Bob Bennett officiating.

Burial will be in the Leadmine Cemetery in Leadmine, WI. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 13th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Lyle was born on December 16, 1934 to Fred & Helen (Schemehorn) Edwards in Gratiot, WI. He married Carol Mae Redfearn on July 18, 1953 at the Methodist Parsonage in Darlington, WI. He worked for Gensler Trucking for many years and retired in 1995.

Lyle enjoyed trail riding with his special horse Renegade, fishing, hunting, country western music, old western TV shows and spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Lyle is survived by 4 daughters: Diane (Danny) Harker of Benton, WI, Donna (Lewis) Redfearn of Shullsburg, WI, Debra (Steve) Livermore of Engadine, MI and Annette (Mike) Houtakker of Darlington, WI; 9 grandchildren: Willy Houtakker, Amanda Houtakker, Tim Houtakker, Amy Harker-Miclo, Brian Harker, Eric Redfearn, Adam Redfearn, Scott Redfearn and Karen Oglesby; 18 great grandchildren: Brandon Oglesby, Libby Redfearn, Carter Redfearn, Kailie Redfearn, Erika Redfearn, Ty Redfearn, Grady Redfearn, Joshua Symons, Tristen Symons, Tiffany Symons, Ilan Miclo, Cayman Miclo, Brady Harker, Kane Harker, Brynlee Houtakker, Gannon Houtakker, Hendrix Houtakker & Macie Houtakker; a sister, Rosie Morris of Erie, PA; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carol (March 28, 2015), a son, Timothy Lyle Edwards and 2 grandchildren: Baby Houtakker and Theresa Redfearn; 3 brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers a Lyle F. Edwards Memorial Fund has been established.
