Lynn Cole Parker, Jr., 70, of Winterville, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC. He is preceded in death by his parents Lynn Cole Parker, Sr. and Annie Davis Parker. Lynn graduated with honors from the University of Mt.

Olive, studied and played baseball at UNC Chapel Hill. He taught school with Lenoir County Public Schools as well as being an instructor at Lenoir Community College. He was a guitarist and vocalist with Sutters Gold Streak Band, Southern Storm Band, Without Further Ado and Crystal Coast Jamboree He is survived by his wife, Sandra M. Parker of the home; daughter Jessica Lynn Parker of Kinston; sons James Cole Parker and wife Lynndsey of Macon, Ga and Colby Lee Buck of Newport; grandchildren Connor Lee Wessell and Lucas Cole Lowery; sisters Corky Parker and Sharon Schmitt both of LaGrange; brothers Tommy Parker and wife Somporn, Mike Parker and wife Wilma both of Kinston, Jimmy Parker and wife Marty of Dallas, TX, numerous nieces and nephews and puppy dogs Max and Tanner.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Westside Original Free Will Baptist Church with John Robert Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to www.
