Mary Lynn McGinnis Tomlin, 61, of Hazel Green, passed away on Sunday at her home. She was a graduate of Hazel Green High School and spent her career working for Huntsville Hospital and the United States Army Corps of Engineers. She attended Jacksonville State University.

She was a loving wife and caring mother, loved to fish, trips to Tunica, arrowhead hunting, and lighthouses. She was preceded in death by Walter “Dub” McGinnis; Her brothers: Aubrey “Moe” McGinnis and Ronnie McGinnis; Her sister, Cynthia “Cindy” Cantrell. She is survived by her husband, James Tomlin; By her twins: daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey Wells Powers & husband Garrett and son and daughter-in-law, Nathan Wells and his wife, Liz Jernigan; Her mother, Kathryn McGinnis; Her brother, Christopher “Chris” McGinnis; Her kitty, Mia.

She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends. At Lynn’s request, the family will have a private celebration of her life. You may contact Hazel Green Funeral Home for more information about attending.
