Mae Bell Chapman, 79, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Sunday October 14, 2018 at home. She was born January 14, 1939 in Eastover, SC, daughter of the late Elijah and Julia Gilmore Chapman. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charlie Chapman, Clarence Chapman, Butler Chapman, Elijah Chapman, Jr., and James Chapman and her sisters, Viola Chapman, Elizabeth Chapman-Branham, and Susie Chapman-Bolton.

Mae Bell was a devoted member of Gethsemane Church of God In Christ of Clairton and she was a loving homemaker for her children and truly loved her family. Left to cherish her memories are four daughters, Barbara Chapman of Philadelphia, Anita Chapman of Plano, TX, Brenda (Paul) Jamison of Clairton, and Jeanette Chapman of McKeesport; Godson, Leroy (Bilan) Thompson of Clairton; dog, Prince; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Francis Chapman Fontaine of Duquesne; three adopted sisters, Sheila Thompson of Clairton, Mary Baptiste of Clairton, Ceola Melvin of Clairton, nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.
