Maggie Harmon, 64, of Carmi, passed away at 1:35 a.m., Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Wabash Christian Village. She was born in East St. Louis, IL on November 14, 1954 the daughter of William Carl and Chilish (Wilson) Minder. She was a member of Cherry St. General Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Maggie loved to play bingo, travel and dance. Maggie is survived by two daughters, Stella (Adam) Oxford, of Carmi and Stacyleigh R. Lewis-Smith of Lexington, KY; a son, Robert Lee (Gretchen) Riley, Jr. of Lexington, KY; a sister, Linda Minder of Grayville; nine grandchildren, Sebastian Lee and Brieanna Marie Oxford, David Austin Wayne Lewis, Kodi Rebecca Smith, Maggie Marie, Robert Joseph, Brandon Christopher and Samantha Lee Riley and Brittany. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Carl Minder and Chilish Marie Grant; three sisters, Rose Minder and Debra Sue Russell and Mary Toms; and four brothers, William “Bill”, John, Butch and Kenneth Minder.

A celebration of Maggie’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in chrage of arrangement to assit the family with funeral expenses.
