Maggie Patterson (nee Gibby), age 97, of Elyria passed away peacefully Monday, February 18, 2019 at O’Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville. She was born in Hemptown, GA and had been a resident of Elyria over 20 years having moved from Avon. Maggie was a member of Faith Baptist Temple.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, vegetables and flower gardening, canning and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters Donna Bowman Arp of LaGrange, Linda Diane Watts of Elyria, Darlene (Greg) Bowman of Lagrange; son Kenneth Patterson of Elyria; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister Doris Presley of Greenville, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifton in 2008; parents William and Rennie Gibby; sister Iris Smith; brothers Ones, Ernest, Robert, Hugh, Junior and Roy Gibby; sons-in-law, Norm Bowman, David Watts.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-7PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd. , North Ridgeville. Celebration of life service will be Thursday at 11AM at Faith Baptist Temple, 34361 Lorain Rd, North Ridgeville.

Brother Ray Carpenter will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon. Thanks to O’Neil Healthcare, especially all the great nurses and aides in the Memory Unit.
